W. "Wes" Mayne
A. W. "Wes" Mayne,
III graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1988 and has worked for
Wyle Laboratories since. He has been involved primarily with
the design and construction of special test systems for both
commercial and government entities in the US and abroad. Wes
has been involved with every high intensity acoustic test
facility that Wyle has built since he began working for the
company as a co-op student in the mid 1980s. He has worked
on fifteen Reverberant Acoustic Test Facilities (RATF) in
the US, Asia, South America, and Europe. He also supports
Wyle’s in-house acoustic testing services. Wes specializes
in the acoustic design of these facilities. His work includes
all phases: design, construction, acceptance testing, and
training. He recently served as project manager for the turnkey
construction of a large RATF near Sao Paulo, Brazil. He currently
manages the design and supply of the noise generation system
for a large RATF under construction in France.
Wes’s typical projects are acoustic applications associated
with satellite and external rocket launch environments, aircraft
flight environments, and high power outdoor sound propagation
systems. Have you an engineering problem involving the design
and construction of high intensity acoustic test facilities,
the operation and troubleshooting of such facilities, or any
other aspect of high intensity acoustic testing?
