One of Equipment Reliability Institute's specialists (founder Wayne Tustin) has had 50+ years experience in the fields of vibration and shock measurement, analysis, calibration and testing.

Others among ERI’s cadre of specialists focus on general hardware reliability, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC, once called radio frequency interference - RFI), application of strain gages, vibration and shock test fixture design, highly accelerated life testing (HALT), environmental stress screening (ESS) and highly advanced stress screening (HASS).

These individuals are available from ERG (Equipment Reliability Group) as consultants, should you have an immediate problem. Some are also available through ERI as instructors in specialized courses aimed at ongoing programs.

Along with their technical knowledge, these specialists' many contacts (with firms, agencies and individuals) are valuable to ERI students and to ERG (Equipment Reliability Group) consulting clients. Contacts enable clients to build their own networks. Click on individuals in the specialist list below to know more about each of our specialists:

Brenner, Steve - experience includes the entire range of climatic and dynamic testing, including HALT, HASS and long term reliability testing.

Cornejo, Guil - turbomachinery power-train vibration process variable, analysis, troubleshooting and health verification of high speed turbomachinery power-train packages.

Felkins, Charles - 40 years test experience: test equipment development, test engineer, test engineering manager, HALT/HASS engineer.

Glodov, Victor - Victor is a professional designer of dynamic absorbers and vibration isolation systems for reducing 3-D vibrations of machines and electronic devices, specialist in precision on-site/shop dynamic balancing rotors with portable instruments and balancing machines.

Haest, Ben M.L. - Ben has over 25 years of experience in the field of test and measurement automation and vibration testing.

Jariwala, Deepak - Deepak graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Roorkee, 1990. Nine years in shaker manufacturing with focus (worldwide) on various shaker system controllers.

Lekuch, Herb - Herb's principal technical work has been in shock and vibration engineering of electronic and mechanical products, also electronic packaging, structural and thermal analysis, environmental test and design engineering.

Linden, Nigel - Nigel has over 25 years experience in using servo-hydraulics to test and characterize structures and materials, performing field data acquisition, designing transducers and developing tests.

Mayne, A. W. "Wes" - Wes has worked for Wyle Laboratories since 1988. Wes’s typical projects are acoustic applications associated with satellite and external rocket launch environments, aircraft flight environments, and high power outdoor sound propagation systems.

Nelson, Dennis B. - Nelson has over 33 years experience in the testing of engineering systems, principally in mechanical vibration and shock.

Piersol, Allan G. - Allan is a consulting engineer with over 50 years of experience in the measurement, analysis, and prediction of shock, vibration, and acoustical environments for aerospace and automotive vehicles. He is the author or co-author of over 100 for¬mal publications related to these subjects, including the co-author or co-editor of six books and a chapter author in six additional handbooks. In recent years, he has been concerned primarily with pyroshock data analysis and testing procedures.

Riddle, John - Multi-axis vibration fixtures involving electronics, VXI Buss data acquisition systems, test fixtures, environmental test equipment, product carriers, instrumentation, process control.

Schwab, Harry - Development of random vibration environments from non- stationary data for accelerated testing of components.

Shust, Bill - Technically skilled in topics of mechanical design and integrity, including component design, endurance tests, noise and vibration problem solving, modal analysis, litigation support and finite element modeling.

Smith, Leland G. - Lee has 44 years of experience in a wide variety of aircraft design, analysis and test responsibilities, digital data control, analysis system design and application programming. Modal test and analysis.

Smith, Richard D. - Rick is a result oriented professional engineer with extensive experience as a technical manager, system architect, and an individual contributor. Turnkey real-time systems and process automation are specialties, including both hardware and software.
